Ways to be more intentional

3 Tips on how to be more intentional with your energy, time and money. 

For 2021 it’s my goal to live a more intentional life- reflect on what I focus my energy on, how I spend my time and money. 

Because let’s be honest, it’s such an important factor for our well-being and happiness. So I gathered my top tips and helpful ideas on how to live a more reflected and intentional life.

1: Journal 

Write down your intentions, ideas and plans 

I’m a huge journal lover. And it doesn’t matter if you prefer digital or paper journals. But writing your dreams and plans has so much power. It help’s you focus and every time I write down (and visualise) my intentions, I find that I can achieve and fulfil them so much quicker, and easier. 

So I highly suggest you give it a try. 

 

2: Self-care 

Take time for yourself and your needs

Self-care has many faces. It can be practising daily gratitude, face mask, cleaning your room or going out for a walk. There is no right or wrong when it comes to the ways you take care of yourself. 

But it’s really important to do so! We should always be our top priority- that’s why when you crash with an aeroplane you should put the facemask on your face first (strong reference, but it’s true. You cant help others if you don’t take care of yourself first). 

So to lead an intentional life, make sure your mind and body are in a good place.  

 

3: Ask yourself Why?

Don’t say yes to things without reflecting 

No matter what it is. Ask yourself why do I want it? Or why do I need it? 
We often say yes to a lot of things we don’t really want or need. By asking yourself why you should do, make, or buy something you think about the consequences it’ll have for you. 

For example: Why should I buy a new pair of shoes? Why aren’t the shoes I have at home not enough? Or do I want to go to this outing, if so, why
If you can’t come up with an answer that is satisfying to you, maybe rethink and delay the answer.
