It’s no big secret that I’m a homebody by heart. Who can spend (almost) all her time at home/indoor, doing who knows what. So with the current situation (being in semi-lockdown & quarantine), I thought it may be a good time to share a few of the things I like to do when indoors.
Besides all-time favourites like Netflix, online shopping and probably cleaning (we all currently spring clean like crazy, am I right?)
1: Writing. Especially right now, as we are supposed to stay at home all the time, it’s a great time to start writing again. Letters, postcards or even a thoughtful email. I adore especially handwritten notes from my friends and family. It’s such a simple way to make somebodies day. Just write a funny note on what your day at home is like, how much of your food reserves you ate already, and if you have an Instax, you can also put a polaroid of yourself in it. Share the quarantine #ootd. I swear it’ll make your friends day a whole lot better.
2: Get creative. Whenever I’m stuck at home with the desire to be somewhere else (which is hardly ever the case), I get all my supplies out and create a mood board. Grab whatever you have at home; washi tape, old magazines, stickers, postcards, or print out images from Pinterest and start laying them out. I can spend hours working on mood boards. So grab your scissors and start creating.
3: Stay organised. Make a list with all the things you want to do/achieve while you’re trapped indoors. For example:
– Sort out my wardrobe.
– Get back into reading daily.
– Research a topic and become an “expert” (on whatever you’re interested in).
And so on. This way you can keep track of all the things you want to do and all the things you already did. It’s a great way to stay sane when you are indoor all daye. Especially when you like to stay as busy as me. If you have any other indoor recommendations, please send them my way.
