German Beauty Products

A few of my favorite German Beauty products – A little while ago, one of my readers and fellow blogger babe Francesca from blondwave.wordpress.com asked if I could share my favorite German Beauty Products and I gladly do though.  I myself love discovering new beauty and especially skin care products and brands and hope you can catch some new products yourself.

A little background on my (preferred) product types

When it comes to beauty, I really am a minimalist. On a daily bases, I use just a little makeup and stick to the products that I discovered are best for my skin type. Most of the products I use I get in pharmacies or health food stores (as I want to be sure they don’t contain nasty chemicals or are tested on animals). So almost every product in this post is vegan. This list, for sure, doesn’t contain all the products I use daily, it’s just my favorite German beauty products. (Also, German products only stag a little part of my daily used products, most are from France, other European countries, and the US).

My all-time favorite German beauty products

The Weleda Body Oils (especially the lavender scented oil) It’s a staple on my bedside table and I use it every night to moisturize. It has a soothing smell and leaves my skin super moisturized – which helps me unwire and fall asleep on a good night sleep. Other scents I really adore (for the daytime) are citrus and rose.

Bilou shower cream (current favorite, cotton candy) Bilou is a new brand founded by a German beauty guru on YouTube – and even though that big of a fan of her videos, her products are great. There are shower gels, body sprays, hand creams etc. and they all smell AMAZING. For examples cotton candy, tasty doughnuts, yummy lime, coco cocktail and more. Plus, they are a 100% vegan. Yay.

Dr. Hauschka Revitalising Day Cream (sadly not in the photo because I run out of it and the delivery took ages) But it’s a light emulsion that can be used day and night, mixed with your favorite facial oil or serum. I find it especially useful for my dry and sensitive skin.
Another Dr. Hauschka product I love is the cosmetic sponge. It’s perfect to clean your skin when traveling or if you don’t have a face brush.

    Hi Ilka,

This blog post is really what I needed! The Bilou brand sounds so promising and interesting, even from the packaging I’m sure it smells amazing!
And I didn’t even know that Nivea was German, am I living on Mars or whatever? Ahahah!
Thank you really much, I can’t wait to be in Germany to have a massive shopping spree and buy everything listed!

    Lot of love,

    Francesca
