How to become the best version of yourself

Being you is AMAZING. And you don’t have to change for anybody else!

Have meaningful relationships

One simple question. Do the people around you bring up your best side? Do they support you and believe in you? If you can answer these questions with a no these people probably aren’t the best contact for you. You want to surround yourself with people that are likeminded and supportive and who believe in you and love you unconditionally. And trust me, they are out there! Especially as a grown-up (without kids) it’s sometimes really hard to make new friends. But you just have to put yourself out there, may it be online with support groups or Twitter chats or in real life by attending a class or sports team. Be social and you’ll find your tribe. I, for example, met one of my dearest friends online – via Instagram. And even we live 1.300 km apart we talk regularly, cheer for one another and even met last year <3 You see, there are the best people out there.


Take care of yourself

Your body is your temple. So treat your body good to become the best version of yourself. Which can mine different things! For example, eat healthily, drink enough water, work out regularly. But also taking quality time, in which you read a book, take a bath, go to the hairdresser or create something. Whatever makes you feel good.  What I want to say is, be good to your body (from the inside and the outside) Because when you live a well-balanced life you automatically feel better which leads to … you guessed it … a better version of yourself.

Stay excited

Are you excited about life? No? Why not? I gathered some suggestions for you to get excited again. 🙂

Here are some things to be excited about:

  • Tomorrow! Prep for tomorrow as it’s going to be a super special day!
  • Plan a trip. Seeing new things and exploring new places always is exciting.
  • Learn something new. Think of one thing you’re really interested in and get yourself a book or online course or even class and practice.
  • Make a bucket list. With things, you want to do in your life. And do at least one each year. I have a bucket list with things I want to do before I turn 30 – see that list here


Love yourself to be the best version of yourself

If you want to be the best you, you first need to accept yourself! As I said in the beginning. Being you is amazing! Therefore, don’t try to change who you are and don’t try to be more like somebody else. It’s ok to get inspired by other people, but always stay true to your soul!
