Today’s post is a recipe for yummy vegan brownies.
Hello you lovely people and welcome to the second episode of
No animals on my plate, please vol. 2
Recipe: vegan brownies
Today I’ll show you how easy it is to bake luscious brownies, without using animal products
For the recipe, you need: (for a small baking sheet)
- half an avocado
- 60ml olive oil
- 120g flour (I most times use wheat)
- 60a cocoa
- ~ 100g sugar (depends on how sweet you like it. I often mix brown and white sugar)
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 175 ml water
- 85g (dark) chocolate
- a handful walnuts
How to make the brownies:
First of all preheat the oven: 180º (top and bottom heat)
Now you must chop the chocolate into small bits and melt them in a bain-marie or microwave.
While the chocolate is melting squash the avocado with a fork. Besides that, you need to break or cut the walnuts into small (eatable) pieces.
Now mix all the wet ingredients (Avocado, melted chocolate, oil, and water) together. When blend stir in the dry ingredients (flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt). When everything is nicely mixed together into a smooth dough add the chopped walnuts.
Lastly, give the dough onto a small baking sheet, laid out with baking paper and spread out evenly.
Bake the brownies for ~16 minutes at 180º. The brownies still need to be chewy when ready!
