It’s ok to do or feel certain things. Sometimes we feel sad, anxious or sick and we do things we think might not be good. But that is totally ok.
It’s ok … to get inspired by others.
It, in fact, is a beautiful thing to get inspired by others. But it also is important that you always stay true to yourself. My favorite ways to get inspired are
– other blogs, magazines, Social Media, TV series, the people around me.
I actually got inspired to write this post by my favorite blog From Roses – see Rebecca’s post here
It’s ok … to go to bed early
Let me, as a 20-something granny tell you, it is totally fine and it’s actually healthy when you go to bed early! I even mentioned this in a blog post a few weeks back. Another great benefit of going to bed early is you can wake up early too. I love early mornings. I currently train myself to wake up earlier (my goal is to wake up fully recovered at 6 am). Haha, for some this may sound silly and for others super easy. But I most days work long hours (until 9 pm) so getting up at 6 am would mean I have to go to bed as soon as I come home. Also, I hate getting up early in winter, when it’s dark, cold and miserable. But when I’m awake and out of bed, it’s soooo good!
It’s ok … to say NO
You don’t need to do it all! When you don’t feel like it’s something you can or won’t do, just say no. The world won’t stop and people won’t be mad. It’s something I personally learned by age. I don’t have to please the people around me all the time.
It’s ok … to be in a bad mood sometimes
It is only human to not always feel great. Allow yourself to feel the feelings and express them. Talk to friends, read a book or do something you enjoy. I already shared some tips on how to get out of a bad mood, so have a read if you fancy. The important thing when allowing yourself to be in a bad mood is, that you don’t get stuck in it! Some quick tips for getting out of a tantrum are:
- hug a pet
- eat something sweet
- call a friend
- listen to a happy song
It’s ok … to be anxious
I’m a highly anxious person. I get scared and panicked fast. (I don’t like to have many people or strangers around. New surroundings scare me. And until a few years back talking on the phone would make me feel sick to the stomach.) But I learned that is ok. That is how I am and that I have to live with my fear so that I can overcome some of my anxieties. And if I can do so, you can too!
Other things that are totally OK
- Having breakfast food for dinner (sometimes)
- Change into your PJ’s as soon as you come home
- Being overwhelmed
- To believe everything happens for a reason
- Search Pinterest for hours
